Hi, my name is Shane Wenzel. I’m the President and CEO of the Shane Homes Group of Companies right here in Calgary. And we brought Chalmers Strategy Group in to help facilitate our strategic planning and then our alignment, implementation and even risk management sessions. I support processes when it produces something and I have no patience when it doesn’t. This produced something. A group of companies has a lot of moving parts and a lot of good people with their own views of what matters most. So an outside facilitator who knows what they’re doing keeps that room honest, keeps it moving, and that’s exactly what we got. The risk management work is the piece I would tell another owner not to skip. In our business, the risk that hurts you is the one nobody has to put on paper yet. So my position’s simple.
