CSG is a brand-new Consulting Firm, established in 2021.  After a lifetime of Professional Public Service as Chief of Police and Mayor of two(2) Cities in Alberta, Marshall Chalmers is pursuing his passion in Public Affairs, delivering Services in Strategic Government Relations and Communications.  Chalmers Strategy Group has assembled a host of Professionals who are available and have been in an elected role or held Senior Administrative positions in various levels of Governments and have been hand picked to assist private, public, and not-for-profit Sectors. MARSHALL CHALMERS, M.O.M.

PRESIDENT

Marshall has a unique combination of skills, training and experience acquired during his exemplary service in policing, as Mayor of two cities in Alberta, Chairman of the Board of a utility company, consulting on Indigenous Affairs and building a successful business from the ground up.

During his 31 years of policing, nine of those were served as Chief of Police, including four years as President of the Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police and Director of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police. During this time he received numerous medals for his service, including the Member Of The Order of Merit from the Governor General. He holds certification in Creating Change in Police Organizations.

Navigating challenges that face a Mayor, he has brought leadership and guidance in all areas of municipal governance to two separate cities and has gained a wealth of experience in understanding and working with all levels of government.

As Chairman of the Board for a Utility Co., delivering multiple services to the third fastest growing city in Canada, offered an in depth and unique experience on how utilities intersect with municipalities and the impacts that it has.

Aboriginal relations remains a passion. Having had the opportunity to partner with First Nations as well as Provincial and Federal Governments to develop specific programs and pathways to successfully transition clients from a life of incarceration to employment was rewarding.

Marshall also holds several certifications including, Media Communications, Senior and Executive Development, Comprehensive Auditing and Financial Management.
